The short version
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of our own. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not share your browsing with advertisers. The only things we store without asking are the two items the site needs in order to work. Our live chat is the one optional extra, and it only loads if you accept cookies.
What we store without asking
These are strictly necessary: without them a part of the site you have asked to use would not function. UK law does not require your consent for these, and they cannot be turned off while you use the relevant feature.

Both are stored in your browser rather than as cookies, and neither is ever sent to anyone else.
Live chat, only if you accept cookies
Our live chat is operated on our behalf by Moneypenny, an outsourced customer conversation provider based in the UK. Until you accept cookies, the Chat now button you see is part of our own website: it sets nothing and loads nothing from Moneypenny. Selecting it asks whether you accept cookies before anything else happens.
The Moneypenny chat widget loads, and sets the cookies below, only once you accept cookies, either on the cookie banner or when the chat button asks. If you do not accept, none of the cookies below are ever set.
Moneypenny classifies its cookies in two groups. The first group is required for a chat to function:

The second group is not required for chat to work. Moneypenny describes these as non-essential, and has confirmed to us that they cannot be disabled separately from the group above. Not accepting cookies is the only way to prevent them.

Our own testing of the widget also found two items that Moneypenny’s published policy does not list: a cookie called isProactiveInvite, which records during your visit whether the chat greeting has been shown, and a browser storage item called times_to_show. Both are set only after you accept cookies, and both are cleared if you withdraw.
If you chat with us, Moneypenny processes what you type on our behalf as our data processor. Chat transcripts are kept by Moneypenny for up to 12 months. Their own cookie policy is published at moneypenny.com/uk/cookies-policy.
Changing your mind
Select Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting: we clear the chat cookies listed above and reload the page without the widget. You can also delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Every cookie above is stored in your browser, so removing them there removes them for good.
What we do not do
For the avoidance of doubt: we run no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Meta or LinkedIn pixel, and no advertising or re-marketing tags of any kind on this website. If that changes, this policy and the banner will change with it, and you will be asked again.
